Augsburg, Germany, October 2026: Ultrapolymers has expanded its existing European polypropylene (PP) network to include experienced producers from Asia and the Middle East. As these producers utilise well-established LyondellBasell technologies, such as the Spheripol® and Spherizone® processes, customers can continue to expect the same high-quality products, backed by reliable technical support and personalised service. The expansion also offers additional material procurement options, a wider range of materials, and greater flexibility in the face of market changes, production disruptions, and supply bottlenecks.

Ultrapolymers’ range of products for traditional polypropylene applications has been expanded by Natpet (Saudi Arabia), Ulsan PP (South Korea), HMC Polymers (Thailand) and Al-Waha Petrochemical (Saudi Arabia). PolyMirae (South Korea) also provides access to specialised solutions, including REVOLEN® metallocene PP and other technical PP grades. The portfolios of the new partners, taken together, comprise homopolymers, random copolymers and heterophasic copolymers for use in film, fibre, raffia, injection moulding, extrusion and compounding applications.

This range allows customers to explore alternative product types, broaden their supplier base and, if necessary, approach other manufacturers. As many grades are based on the same technologies and share the same product designations as well-known European types in some cases, the effort involved in qualification and revalidation can often be reduced.

Product Manager Sabrina Jannusch comments: “Every day, we see just how important additional options in material supply have become. With our expanded network, we are providing access to further supply sources, additional polypropylene (PP) solutions, and international specialities. It's not about replacing tried-and-tested solutions but rather complementing our existing portfolio. This gives our customers greater flexibility and security of supply, as well as additional opportunities for new and existing projects.”

Ultrapolymers will be showcasing its entire range of plastics, additives and polypropylene solutions at Fakuma 2026 in Hall A5, Stand A5-5211.
